Numerical Simulation and Wind Tunnel Test on the Wind-Induced Response of Three Typical Types of Greenhouse Main Structures

Investigating the wind-induced vibration response of greenhouse structure, and wind pressure distribution on its surface takes a critical significance when main structure is under large loads. A computational fluid dynamics-based study was conducted, tunnel tests were performed to structure. First, three types greenhouses, including Venlo, Round-arch, Saw-tooth type selected as design models for study. In addition, double-span, four-room model built explore extreme coefficient 13 (0°–180°, every 15°) directions direction obtain load characteristics in different conditions. The results consistent with those simulations, maximum X-direction occurring at 30°-wind Y-direction 75°-wind. negative acting locally roof twice positive windward side greenhouse. Accordingly, it necessary strengthen regions sensitive significant wind.
